Why Combining Orders Lowers Your Shipping Bill
liblingz Team · October 19, 2026 · 4 min read
Shopping at several Korean stores usually means several parcels. Sent separately, each one pays its own shipping. Sent together, they travel as one box.
Why one box costs less
- Carriers charge a base price for every parcel, plus more as the weight goes up. Fewer parcels means fewer base prices.
- Extra boxes and packing add weight and size you pay for.
- One box is also one customs entry and one delivery to track.
How it works at liblingz
Every package, whether we bought it (We Buy) or you ordered to your Korean address (You Buy), arrives at our warehouse and is checked in. You choose which packages go together. We repack them into one box, measure it, and you pay international shipping once.
You are billed on the bigger of two weights
Carriers compare the real weight with the volumetric weight: length × width × height (cm) ÷ 5000. A box of 30 × 20 × 15 cm is 9,000 ÷ 5,000 = 1.8 kg for billing, even if it only weighs 0.9 kg. Air in the box costs money.
Four packing habits that save money
- Drop the outer boxes when it is safe. Our Minimal packaging extra removes bulky retail boxes and keeps the item protected.
- Vacuum-compress soft items such as clothes and plush toys.
- Albums: choose items-only when you do not need the outer packaging.
- Wait for your last item before packing. You get free storage days at our warehouse, so one box usually beats two.
